Men and Big Cars ‘Wearing you car on your sleeve.’

March 5th, 2007 by Eric

couple-in-car.jpgIt is a common joke that men who have big cars are overcompensating for poor endowments in the penis department or for poor performance in bed. Jokes such as ‘What do you say to a man with a small penis’, ……‘nice car!!’ have been bandied about for years. The flashy car is a phallic symbol - “look how big and wide my car is, look how manly I am”. Except it tends to have exactly the opposite effect on women who have long since seen through the big car routine and who tend to think of men who flaunt their cars as insecure oafs and the SUV’s they drive as a small penis compensation vehicle.

Even in the supposedly enlightened 21st century, men are always worrying about their penile size A man with a small penis, it is thought, will be an unimportant man. The internet is full of ads from companies who claim that they know how to enlarge your penis – at a price!
Baffling as this preoccupation may be to most women, to the average man, his penis is, consciously or unconsciously, one of the most important things in the whole world. At an early age he discovers it and immediately becomes fascinated by it. But then a note of uncertainty enters his mind: ‘Isn’t mine rather small?’ Look at his Dad’s; look at his big brother’s; look at those he sees in the changing room at the swimming bath. And he asks himself if he will ever be as big as that. And so he goes on through life, always a tiny bit sensitive about the size of his organ, always convinced that it would be nicer if it were just that little bit longer. No matter how often textbooks repeat that penile size doesn’t matter, and that women aren’t attracted to a man because of the length of his organ, the average male continues to think the same way.

So if you’re a woman, the one thing you need to bear in mind about this ludicrous male preoccupation is this: when in bed with a man, never belittle his penis (even as a joke) or say anything to indicate that you think it’s small - the poor chap may take you seriously, and if he does, he’ll be deeply hurt.
